Notes: WHATEric Nadel Birthday Benefit Eric Nadel, a well-known voice to Texas Rangers fans, has served as the Texas Rangers Radio Announcer for the last 34 years. He is also a seven-time winner of the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Texas Sportscaster of the Year Award. In celebration of his birthday this year, he is partnering with CONTACT and To Write Love on Her Arms, to put on the “Eric Nadel Birthday Benefit” starring Daphne Willis. CONTACT is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people from teens to seniors facing daily life-challenges. Through 24-hour free confidential listening, comfort, and a connection to resources, education, and emergency assistance, CONTACT gives people the ability to take back control of their lives. To Write Love on Her Arms is a non- profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. Daphne Willis, a rising star singer-songwriter, whose work was recently featured on the hit TV show One Tree Hill will headline the performance. Her pop/rock/blues tunes style and a voice that has been compared to that of Carole King and Adele has garnered her standing ovations during past performances at the Kessler. Ray Johnston Band, a Dallas favorite, will open the show. Come join us for this night of celebration and live entertainment. All net proceeds from ticket sales and the silent auction will go to CONTACT and TWLOHA to help enhance each organization’s programs and services.
